Twilight

TWILIGHT

Introduction

Twilight is the first book of the famous Twilight Saga Series written by Stephenie Meyer in 2005. It's a romantic fantasy novel with the concept of a human falling in love with a vampire. The book is from the perspective of the female lead. The emotions are expressed beautifully by the use of good vocabulary. The novel focuses on the attraction of a human girl toward 103 old vampires and how they face the challenges life gives their way.

This book by Stephenie Meyer is inspired by one of her dreams about a human girl and a vampire who was in love with her but thirsted for her blood. Based on this dream, Meyer wrote the draft of chapter 13 of the book. She wrote from chapter 13 to the end of the novel and then covertly filled in the first 12 chapters with no ideal audience in mind or any intention of publishing the novel.

Book Name: Twilight Saga

Author: Stephenie Meyer

Genre: Vampire, Fantasy, Young Adult, Romance

Language: English

The story begins with a girl who recently moved to her father's place in Forks, but she didn't know that she would encounter many dangerous and life-threatening experiences there. She falls in love with a guy who behaved strangely around her, who was a vampire named Edward Cullen, living in the Forks with his family. The story weaves itself showing their curiosity and interest in each other, the book also has an entrance of the second lead who doesn't have much role in the first book but later you will find his importance, not going to break the suspense. It also shows that the creatures who crave human blood can also take a safer path to keep themselves humane which depicts that even people who can't control their circumstances can be good too, for example, Edward Cullen's foster father, Carlisle.

However, you can find the concept a little strange if you are a practical person, the reason being it shows how the girl behaves with no self-preservation instincts and gets attracted to the dangers. If you are not a fan of facts, you will love the book as you will feel as if you are living in it. The emotions and descriptions are great and you will feel yourself falling for the male lead as well.

Also, you would like the playful nature of Edward's brother and the carefree but responsible father of the female lead.

The ending is convincing but not exactly nice as she got hurt and became so close to her death.
